‘Contemporary art for Christmas 2011’

Exhibition runs from 14th November - 9th December 2011

 This exhibition will celebrate a triumphant year of exhibiting  art at the gallery by awarding one artist ‘Contemporary Art for  Christmas award 2011’. The award includes a 200 pounds cash prize, a  bottle of champagne, a photograph of the awarded artist, a year’s  subscription to Aesthetica magazine and an award certificate. The award  is voted by the public and they will be asked to make their vote and  place into the ballot box. All votes will be counted at the end of the  exhibition in front of two witnesses. The gallery staff hopes that this award will lead to raising  artistic motivation of the award winner and to a surge in productivity  and further success.  Artists will be selected by the gallery director  for their understanding of contemporary aspects in art, such as  language, identity, Sociology, Science, metaphysics, Psychology and  contemporary portraiture.
